Last of the English Gentlemen is the musical persona of Nottinghamshire born songwriter Chris Shannon. LOTEG writes lyrical, electric infused folk fables with a literary lilt and a barrelhouse of longing, which, along with a charismatic and humorous stage presence, make for cathartic, intimate live performances. His rich, poetic lyrics exploring love, suffering, religion, reincarnation, and weatherworn tales of drunkenness and dissolution have drawn comparisons to Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, and Nick Cave.

Along with his band The Origami Pirates, Last of the English Gentlemen's live show is a soft storm of waltzes, polkas, ballads and shanties that will leave you captivated and profoundly moved.
